Why Your Man Boobs Are NOT Going Away

Why Your Man Boobs Are Not Going Away

If you’ve been trying to get rid of your man boobs for a while now and had little success, there’s a reason why they aren’t going away.

Want to hear it?

Here’s the big reason: you’re trying to lose man boobs.

I know, that sounds like a terrible reason.

There are some things in life, where when you focus too much on it, you’re never going to get it. Here are some examples:

  • If you focus too much on trying to get a date when you’ve just met a girl, you’ll creep her out. You need to focus on having a good time with her, and you may get that date.
  • If you focus too much on money, you ain’t getting any. You need to focus on providing value in the marketplace, providing a useful service or product that helps people, and the money will follow.
  • If you focus too much on losing weight or losing man boobs, it ain’t going to happen. Why? Because losing weight—on its own—is a worthless shallow pursuit that will have you quit as soon as the going gets tough.

Find any guy who has a great body and ask him what motivated him to build that body. 9 times out of 10, he WON’T tell you he built that great body because he wanted to lose weight. In most cases he’ll tell you he built a great body because he loves working out and enjoys eating healthy food, OR because he’s involved in a physically demanding sport that he wants to get good at.

The Only Way To Lose Man Boobs

Losing man boobs, like losing weight, takes time, consistent effort, and dedication, and the only way you’re going to get that perfectly flat manly chest is by developing a passion for something.

It’s hard to get passionate about losing man boobs, losing weight, or losing anything. Even growing muscle is a lame-ass thing to get passionate about.

See, you don’t get passionate about the way you LOOK, you get passionate about something you DO. And even then, it won’t help to get passionate about knitting or collecting stamps. You have to develop a passion for something that will, on a physiological level, actually help get rid of your man boobs.

I’ve found there are certain popular forms of diet and exercise that just don’t help, even if you develop a passion for them. If you want to lose man boobs, low fat diets, low calorie diets, and steady state cardio don’t work. I’ve known a lot of guys who are passionate about cardio—they run every day—and yet they’re chubby and many have man boobs.

So the idea is to develop a passion for something that will help you lose your man boobs.

That something could be the right style of weight training, HIIT, or a low carb testosterone boosting diet.

Some Things Are Easier To Get Passionate About Than Others

HIIT is easy to get passionate about, it’s such an awesome feeling to be able to move your body faster, to aspire to become a faster sprinter.

Some guys do get passionate about weight training, and they go really far with it, but for a lot of guys it gets boring—just lifting and lowering a weight through the exact same motion every workout, with the only thing that changes being the weight you lift.

Take The Passion Test

Exactly HOW passionate do you have to be about something for it to help you lose your man boobs?

Weight training, done correctly, helps get rid of man boobs, so let’s take weight training as an example.

Are you so passionate about weight training that you would do it, even if it wouldn’t change your physique one bit?

Would you aspire to be a pro at weight training, even if it meant that by the end of it, when you’re lifting the heaviest weights at the gym, you’re still fat with man boobs, and have ZERO muscles to show for it?

No?

Then you’re not passionate enough about weight training, weight training for YOU, has failed the passion test.

Here are some examples of where passion for a physical activity resulted in a great body, even though the great body was never the prime motive:

  • Michael Phelps would still swim, even if swimming didn’t help him burn fat. Why? Because Michael Phelps swims because he wants to be the fastest swimmer he can be.

Michael Phelps' great body is a side-effect of his passion for swimming.

  • Usain Bolt would still sprint, even if sprinting didn’t help him burn fat. Why? Because Usain Bolt sprints because he wants to be the fastest sprinter he can be.

Usain Bolt's great body is a side-effect of his passion for sprinting.

  • Bruce Lee would have continued to train in the martial arts, even if his training didn’t help him burn fat. Why? Because Bruce Lee trained because he wanted to be the best fighter he could be.

Bruce Lee's great body is a side-effect of his passion for martial arts.

THAT’S the kind of passion you need if you’re going to lose your man boobs. You need to be passionate enough about your training, that you would do it, even if it didn’t help get rid of your man boobs.

AT THE VERY LEAST, there has to be something else about your training that’s EQUALLY as important to you as losing your man boobs, so that even if your man boobs didn’t go away, you would still feel like it was worthwhile, that you still achieved something you’re proud to have achieved.

Now none of this is to say that I expect you to train regularly without losing your man boobs. Michael Phelps, Usain Bolt, and Bruce Lee have/had great bodies. Do the right type of training and you will lose your man boobs, you will build a great body, but there's got to be something about your training that's more important to you than just improving the way you look.

Here’s A Powerful Man Boob Busting Training Method That Most Guys Can Easily Get Passionate About

Over the past few years, I’ve been engaged in something that’s far more exciting, fun, and easier to develop a passion for than weight training. At the same time it’s just as powerful as weight training at getting rid of man boobs, maybe even MORE powerful.

With weight training, you’re doing the same old boring exercises every workout for the rest of your life, with the only thing changing being the weight you lift. With this other form of training, as you get better at it, you’re moving onto more challenging and more exciting exercises.

The trouble with weight training is you’re always just sitting or standing there, moving some weight up and down repeatedly, in the hope that you’ll grow some muscle, lose some fat, and lose your man boobs. Then, when your muscles don’t grow or your man boobs don’t go away fast enough, you’re sat there wondering why on earth you bother to put up with the boredom of moving those weights up and down and why you put up with all this pain and hardship three days a week.

You will succeed with weight training when you get so excited about how much more you can lift over time, that this becomes your primary motive with weight training.

But let’s get real, that’s not likely to happen for most of us.

Weight training is inherently BORING.

This other form of training I’ve been working on more recently, is more fun than weight training and much easier to get passionate about.

One of the many cool things about this form of training is the method of progression. Rather than simply increase the weight on the same boring exercises like with weight training, you progress in this other form of training by moving onto new and different exercises.

The more advanced you get, the more fun and challenging the exercises. The better you get at this form of training, the more possibilities open up, and the more you’re able to do with it.

At the advanced stage, this new form of exercise becomes more like a fun sport, than some boring exercise you do just to lose those darn man boobs.

As you get engaged in this fun sport, your man boobs go away as a SIDE-BENEFIT. You build a ripped, powerful, lean and muscular body as a SIDE-BENEFIT. Your body transforms as a SIDE-BENEFIT while your main focus is on getting good at this awesome sport.

Remember what I said at the beginning of this post? The big reason why you can’t lose your man boobs is that you’re trying to lose your man boobs.

If your main focus is on losing man boobs, and you’ve got nothing else to gain from doing all that hard work in the gym or at the dinner table, then chances are you’ll give up on your training and diet LONG before your man boobs go away.

If on the other hand, your main focus is on something you enjoy getting good at, and a great body is something you develop as a SIDE-BENEFIT of getting good at this something, then you’re far more likely to see it through to the end, where you’ve lost your man boobs and have a great lean muscular body. And even after you’ve lost your man boobs, you won’t stop–you’ll carry on with your sport, seeking to continue to get better at it, and this will serve to MAINTAIN your newfound physique for the rest of your life.

And the BEST thing about this approach is the journey to a great, man boob-free body, will seem effortless, since your main focus was always on getting better at your sport. Losing man boobs and that great body were just a pleasant side-benefit.

So what is this other form of training I’m talking about?

It’s bodyweight training, also known as calisthenics.

As a beginner, bodyweight training may seem just as boring as weight training—you’re simply doing push-ups instead of the bench press, bodyweight rows instead of the bent-over barbell row…

But The Fun Happens When You Start Moving Onto The More Advanced Exercises…

With bodyweight training, you’re moving your own body, and as you get to the more advanced exercises, you’re doing some really exciting movements with your body—you’re doing handstands, walking on your hands, cartwheels, backflips, and incredibly challenging exercises that look truly impressive, the likes of the planche, one arm handstand, and human flag.

With bodyweight training, you're learning to do some fun and impressive stuff with your body, while losing your man boobs and building a great-looking body as a pleasant side-benefit.

Then you get to a stage where you’re COMBINING all of these advanced exercises, and you’re moving your body around in a way that it seems like you’re defying gravity.

  1. I am 84 years old. I have followed you advice for the past two months have already seen some great results in shrinking my man-boobs. It really kicked in when I started working my neglected leg excercises. I anxiously await for your great newsletters. Thank you & God bless you.

    • Hey Frank, glad to hear it!

Leg training and whole body training is where it’s at! This is one example of where focusing on overall fitness is better than focusing on man boobs. If all a guy does is focus on his man boobs, then all he will do is push-ups, bench presses, and other exercises. But if he focuses instead on general fitness, then he’ll train his legs and the rest of his body, and ironically, his chest will end up looking FAR better than the guy who only trains his chest.

  2. Been waiting for this for over a year. I had an interesting revelation. I tried your beginners program and am on phase 5, and have had AMAZING results. However, I did NOT use weights. I purchased a set of resistance bands for $15 at Wal-Mart, with three levels of resistance that could be mixed to create a total of seven levels. I just kept increasing each step every phase, and I was SHOCKED by the results.

Maybe this can help those who can’t do bodyweight or can’t afford weights or a gym.

    • Wow, that’s great to hear John. I totally agree, resistance bands are an excellent substitute for weights, and oh-so convenient, you can take them with you anywhere you go. All you need is a little creativity and you can replicate almost any weight training exercise.
