How she dropped 80 pounds and kept it off for 16 years

I was reading this magazine the other day, and I wrote down something powerful said by this body transformation coach.

She said,

Train and eat like you love yourself. It is not a punishment; it's self-respect

Eat and train to gain energy, stamina and endurance, not to lose pounds. That mindset shift helped me lose 80 pounds and keep it off for the past 16 years.

You can't “microwave” success! Your results won't happen overnight, so fall in love with the process.

“Eat like you love yourself”, lol typical thing for a FEMALE coach to say, heck I think that's what all the female coaches are saying these days.

But you know what?

They're totally right.

Stop punishing yourself for an hour on the treadmill to make up for last night's pizza binge.

Stop punishing yourself with a half-day fast.

Stop punishing yourself with that disgusting salad.

Stop punishing yourself for being fat.

Stop punishing yourself for having man boobs.

Stop it.

Stop it.

Stop it.

Forget that you're fat, forget that you've got man boobs.

Start eating good, healthy food, because it's good for you, out of respect for yourself, out of respect for your body.

When you start respecting yourself this way, you'll find it gets easy to eat healthy, and easy to say “no” to junk, and your man boobs shrink and disappear effortlessly.

That second part is powerful too: “Eat and train to gain energy, stamina and endurance, not to lose pounds.”

Exercise because you want to do your body good, because you want to have more energy, and because you want to be a more capable man in this world.
