iSpring RCC7 5-Stage Reverse Osmosis Water Filtration System Review

This 5-stage filter has…

  • 3 pre-filters before the reverse osmosis filter, to protect the reverse osmosis filter membrane from chemicals like chlorine and chloramines
  • the main reverse osmosis filter
  • one carbon filter after the reverse osmosis filter that removes any small impurities that might remain in the water

This 5-filter system removes up to 97.2% of over 1,000 different types of contaminants, including arsenic, asbestos, chlorine, hormones, fluoride, lead, mercury, sodium, bacteria, giardia, and viruses.

This company has gone a long way to make their reverse osmosis filter easy to install, with push to connect fittings and color coordinated tubings. Saying that, you’d still have to be a bit of a handy-person to be able to fit this by yourself.

I also like that it’s backed by a 3-year manufacturer warranty, unlike other companies that only have a 1-year warranty.

This filter is Water Quality Association (WQA) Gold Seal Certified, which means it has been rigorously tested by an independent body, with laboratory tests, literature review and materials assessment. I personally visited the WQA website and verified that this product is listed. Here’s the direct link:

Beware of the “WQA certified manufacturer” claim. The WQA does not certify the manufacturer, it certifies each individual PRODUCT. I’ve seen other reverse osmosis filters on Amazon, where the description states “WQA certified manufacturer”, yet though the manufacturer is listed on the WQA website for OTHER products, that particular product is NOT certified.
