Did you know that chemicals are a big cause of man boobs?
And that they don't just get into your blood through your food, they can get into your blood through your SKIN?
Our skin does a great job at keeping water and salt out. It's why we don't shrivel up and die when exposed to salt the way a garden slug does.
But the skin is not impervious to EVERYTHING.
A lot of feminizing chemicals seep through your skin and into your bloodstream.
Some would argue that chemicals going in through the skin are potentially more dangerous than chemicals you eat with your food.
Because the chemicals you eat are largely deactivated by your liver before they make it into your systemic blood circulation. The chemicals that go through your skin, bypass your liver and go directly into your systemic blood circulation.
One study in 2007 found that boys exposed to cosmetics containing the feminizing ingredients, lavender and tea tree oil, ended up with full-blown gynecomastia, which went away after they stopped using the products1.
So we mustn't underestimate what skin contact with hormone disrupting chemicals can do to our bodies.
I know it seems a little OTT, but compared to changing your diet or adopting a new exercise regimen, these are EASY changes to make, and they can have a considerable impact on your health and on your body composition.
One thing I want to give you today, is an ingredient for an all-natural, all-purpose household cleaning spray.
All of those fancy cleaning products you get from the shops are chocked full of chemicals, and there's a big chance that SEVERAL of the chemicals in any single product are hormone disruptors that either boost estrogen levels, or block testosterone production.
Not only will you be inhaling all that crap when you're using it (chemicals you inhale get into your blood via your lungs), you'll also be taking it in through your skin any time you touch the surfaces you clean using the product.
Here are the ingredients for the spray:
- 1.5 cups warm water
- 0.5 tbs baking soda
- 0.5 tbs borax
- 0.5 tsp glycerine
- 5 drops cinamon essential oil
- 5 drops tangerine essential oil
Mix all of the above ingredients into a spray bottle and give it a good shake.
You can print out the following label and stick it on the bottle:
This stuff smells AMAZING and it works incredibly well. It's 100% natural and it doesn't contain any hormone disrupting chemicals.
Being an all-purpose cleaner, you can use this spray in the kitchen, living room, bedroom, bathroom, or anywhere else in the house.
Now that you've got your HOME protected, you need to take measures to protect yourself when you go out.
How do you protect yourself from chemicals when everyone is using chemicals all around you? Vehicle exhaust fumes, shopping receipts, the perfume of the woman standing next to you on the bus, the air freshener in your workplace bathroom, there are so many estrogenic chemicals all around us, what are we to do?
Wear a hazmat suit everywhere you go.
It's a new trend among health enthusiasts, and it's actually pretty cool. Sure, it feels a little hot in the summer, but you can always take it off when you get back home.
Ok, just kidding :p .
Wearing a hazmat suit is a bit extreme.
My little brother Shaun doesn't give a toss about chemicals.
Any time I tell him anything about chemicals, he tells me, “We can’t walk about with a hazmat suit everywhere”.
And Shaun happens to currently be a fat bus driver with man boobs.
In this day and age, with all the chemicals we have around us, since wearing a hazmat suit is out of the question, there's no way you'll avoid them all.
What you CAN do though, is MINIMIZE your exposure to chemicals as much as possible.
- If you are driving in the city, roll your windows up so you're not inhaling all those estrogenic fumes.
- Use natural cleaning products and natural cosmetics.
- Store your food in glass rather than plastic containers.
- Wash your hands after handling shopping receipts.
- Avoid processed food and eat organic whole-foods.

As well as avoiding chemical exposure as much as possible, it helps to also have something that counteracts the effects of the chemicals you are UNABLE to avoid.
One such thing is turmeric.
Studies have found that curcimin from turmeric not only blocks the human estrogens in your body, it also blocks the xenoestrogens that come from all the chemicals we are exposed to.
Not only that, but studies show curcumin also protects our testes from the damage chemicals do to testosterone production.
A 2016 study published in the Asian Pacific Journal of Reproduction, found that administering mice with diethanolamine, a common foaming agent used in cosmetics, significantly lowered their testosterone levels.
However, when the researchers administered curcumin with diethanolamine, the curcumin greatly prevented the diethanolamine-induced reduction in testosterone2.
So a small exposure to chemicals will do far less harm if you've got some turmeric in your system.
Now you can add turmeric to your food, but the most convenient way to take turmeric is using a supplement. Here's a turmeric supplement that I've found is particularly good at helping to get rid of man boobs:
