Pubertal Gynecomastia

Pubertal gynecomastia is becoming more and more common in the modern day.

Back when I was in school over 20 years ago, I was probably the only guy in the whole school who had man boobs. Nowadays, there are probably a dozen guys with man boobs in every year-group.

This condition is becoming more and more common due to increased exposure of children to feminizing chemicals, and also because of the obesity epidemic.

Pubertal gynecomastia is meant to go away by itself within 2 to 3 years, but I’m seeing more and more cases where it persists into adulthood, where it becomes known as persistent pubertal gynecomastia.
