What To Do When You’re Ill

Sorry I've not been in touch for a while.

I've been ill.

Despite all the healthy eating, training, etc., illness can still find its way into your body.

My methods don't only help you to lose man boobs, they also boost your immune system so you're less likely to fall ill.

But when it's freezing cold and everyone around you is coughing, sneezing, and spluttering all over the place, you're occasionally gona catch that bug no matter how healthy your lifestyle.

But this time I got hit real hard.

It started Wednesday the 2nd of Jan with the flu, which I'm pretty sure I picked up from some snotty bastard at the gym.

As the fever from my flu started to go away, I noticed I was finding it difficult to breathe. My fever soon came back, this time I was shaking and coughing up phlegm… I had pneumonia.

When the pneumonia started to fade and my breathing improved, I had a terrible right sided headache, and the fever came back. Pretty sure this one was a sinus infection.

All this shit lasted 2 weeks.

2 whole weeks of having fever and feeling like shit.

It's only TODAY that I feel better and that blasted headache is gone.

I hate seeing my doctor and I hate taking drugs, so I didn't want to take any antibiotics.

When you're ill and you don't take drugs, you learn the importance of good nutrition and a healthy lifestyle to see you through your illness.

I noticed that any time I ate anything with sugar or refined carbs, the likes of cookies, chocolates, and even fruit juice, my illness got worse.

See, sugars and carbs don't just make you grow man boobs, they also feed bacteria in your body.

Sugary snacks mess up your teeth because the bacteria in your teeth feed and grow on the sugar. In the same way, when you've got an infection in your body, be it in your lungs or in your sinuses or anywhere else, eating sugar will just feed the bacteria and make you more sick.

When I had pneumonia, my breathing got so bad I thought I was going to die. Before rushing off to the Emergency Department, I decided I would try one thing.

So I kept eating oranges until my pneumonia went away.

After 2 nights of good sleep, I could only feel the slightest sensation of a headache.

After the 3rd night, my headache and sinus infection were gone!

So next time you're ill, don't just rely on DRUGS to get you better, while you treat yourself with sugary deserts for being ill, and a good long movie every night before bed.

Sure, see your doctor and take the drugs he/she prescribes if you need them, but help your body along with a good diet and lifestyle.
