I’m a HUGE Lord of the Rings fan.

Most guys have seen the movies, but not as many have read the books. The books are a MILLION times better than the movie.

The books go into so much detail about the characters and what they are really like. They describe the shear magnificence of characters like Gandalf, Legolas, Aragorn and his sweetheart Arwen, in a way that can never be done in a movie.

Arwen for example, is supposed to be so beautiful, that no human could ever compare. Yet in the movie, they can only use a human actress to play her role.

Now don’t get me wrong, Liv Tyler is definitely the single most beautiful woman in the world, and beats the hell out of even Megan Fox, but the book had a way of describing Arwen’s beauty, that was just… something more than mesmerizing.

Anyhow, one of my favorite parts of the book (and this part was in the movie as well) was when Gandalf was talking to Aragorn about the hobbits Merry and Pippin.

If you’re not familiar with the story, Merry and Pippin are of a peaceful species of short dwarf-like people called ‘hobbits’.

At one point in the story they end up coming across these huge tree-like creatures called ‘ents’, who live for thousands of years.

Ents are a very slow creature, and they don’t like to meddle in anything that isn’t their business. Even though their fellow tree friends are being attacked by the evil yet powerful Wizard Saruman, the ents decide to do nothing.

Merry and Pippin are aware that Saruman is in partnership with the all-powerful necromancer Sauron, and are together planning to shroud the whole of Middle Earth in evil and darkness.

Beyond all expectation, Merry and Pippin somehow manage to ignite a fire in the ents. They bring these unstoppable giants back to life and have them marching on the forces of Saruman, and crushing them!

Anyway, so one of my favorite parts is when Gandalf is talking to Aragorn about Merry and Pippin. He says…

“…and their coming was like the falling of small stones that starts an avalanche in the mountains.”

What a beautiful and powerful analogy.

It’s similar to the snowball effect, where a snowball gets bigger and bigger as it rolls down the side of a mountain.

The snowball effect is exactly what’s happening in today’s capitalist society, where the rich continue to get richer.

Apparently, once you know how to make money, it gets easier and easier to make more of it.

But you know, one thing I realized is that the same applies to training…

If you are using the right training methods, the more you lose weight and the more you lose your man boobs, the easier it gets to continue doing the same.

Just like the snowball effect, just like Gandalf’s two stones falling down the mountain, just like the rich getting richer.

There are many reasons why this is true with losing man boobs. Here’s one of them.

As you grow muscle and condition your body through the right type of exercise, your hormonal response to exercise will improve (remember, losing man boobs is ALL about the hormones).

In a study published in the Canadian Journal of Applied Physiology, both athletes and non-athletes were given an exercise protocol to induce muscular failure.

The results of this study were fascinating – increases in testosterone concentration were found to be greater in the athletes than in the non-athletes.

And these athletes weren’t just ANY type of athlete. They were athletes that do a specific TYPE of training – the kinda stuff I teach in the Chest Sculpting Blueprint.

More convincing yet, is a study by Kraemer et al., where young men in their 30s as well as elderly men in their 60s were found to have a greater testosterone response to exercise after 10 weeks of doing this same type of training.

It seems that as you train more, lose more weight, lose more of your man boobs, and grow more muscle, you are able to experience greater and greater post-exercise testosterone gains.

So what this means is that unlike with cardio, where you end up hitting a plateau after a few weeks, with this type of training, your progress and the transformation of your body will accelerate over time!

The greater increases in testosterone over time will have incrementally better effects on reducing those man boobs.

So, the take-home message from today’s post is this: keep on training!

When you train using the right methods (i.e. not doing traditional cardio and crappy pushups, but rather training Chest Sculpting Blueprint-style, your results will increase exponentially.

The smaller your man boobs get, the easier it gets to make them even smaller… all the way to the point where your chest is as flat as a surfboard.
