Today I want to talk to you about something very important – the one thing you must never do when you exercise.
I was just having a workout this morning, and remembered all the times in the past where I had started on a new fitness regimen, and then quit at the first sign of hardship.
By hardship, I’m talking financial problems, family problems, problems in your love life, and you know, all the usual shit that gets in the way in life.
Each time this happened, I quit exercising and told myself I’d get back to it once conditions in my life were more ideal.
But you know what?
Conditions in your life will NEVER be ideal. And even if they are, there’ll always be some shit that just messes everything up again – your girlfriend dumps you, you lose your job, your business goes south, someone launches a full-scale complaint against you at work.
A lot of the times for me, it’s been financial problems (I come from a poor background).
That hour spent exercising 3 times a week just seemed like time I could use to help solve my financial issues.
But little did I know at the time, while I was fat and miserable with man boobs, that spending those 3 hours a week exercising, would actually be the best investment I could’ve made to help SOLVE my financial problems. The same applies to almost any other problem you could be facing in life.
Whatever problem you’re facing, those extra 3 hours a week you’d get if you stopped working out, would make little or no difference to your situation. If you can’t fix your problem in the 165 OTHER hours you get in the week, what the hell of a difference is another 3 hours going to make?
Exercise is renewing, revitalizing and energizing. You may dread the thought of exercise just before you start the session, but if you just force yourself to persist, you ALWAYS feel great about it afterwards. Exercise increases the blood flow to your brain, and releases endorphins, which kill pain and make you feel amazing and on top of the world!
An exercise session can be just what you need to give you a different perspective on your problem. It may indeed be just what you need to find a SOLUTION to your problem.
But infinitely more important than THAT, is the effect regular exercise will have on your problem in the long-run. As your body starts to respond to your efforts at the gym, as you start to physically LOOK better when you go out, you start to respect yourself more, and so do other people.
You do away with all the negativity that comes with being ashamed of the way you look. It helps you get more of a positive outlook on life, because you generally feel so much better, just knowing that you look and feel great, and that your body is in great physical condition.
This increase in confidence, change in your state of mind, increase in charisma, and other qualities, can be just what you need to help solve your problem.
You may not realize it in those early days when your body doesn’t seem to be responding all that much to exercise. But as you put in the hours week after week on a consistent basis, your body WILL eventually respond, provided of course, that you are doing the right TYPE of exercises like I discuss in the Chest Sculpting Blueprint.
Once you get that body of your dreams, looking back, you’ll realize that every single one of those hours in your early days of training, were totally necessary for you to get to where you are now.
You’ll look back and realize that those 3 hours a week spent exercising were the best investment you could have made with your time.
You’ll be glad that you stuck it through despite the hardships you faced.
The one time I really started to see results, was when I decided that I would continue exercising, regardless of how bad things got in my life, that I would no longer wait for everything in my life to be perfect for me to get started on a serious fitness regimen.
If you wait for things to be perfect, you may be waiting a long time. The younger days of your life will pass you by, and you won’t be able to enjoy it, because you’ll be fat and miserable with man boobs.
So the one thing you must never do when you exercise, is quit when the going gets tough.
Give yourself permission to exercise and look after your body regardless of your current situation, and you’ll see that as your body improves, so will your situation. Your body will improve sooner and your life will improve sooner.
