If you lose weight the way most people tell you to lose weight, then you’ll end up instructing your body to hold on to your man boobs, while you shed fat from everywhere ELSE on your body.
Traditional ways to lose weight include doing cardio and going on a low calorie diet.
The idea here is that you burn more calories than you consume.
Though this approach CAN help you to lose body fat, it’s a terrible method for losing man boobs.
If you are out to lose man boobs, then you are looking to change the SHAPE of your body by changing your body’s fat distribution pattern. You want your body to store less fat on your chest.
So what determines who will store fat on their chest and who will not? What makes one guy grow man boobs, and another grow a large belly while keeping a flat chest?
The answer is HORMONES.
The crucial role hormones play in body fat distribution is no new discovery, since it was described as early as in 1947. In a more recent study in 1991, published in the International Journal Of Obesity, the author stated…

Women store fat mostly in the breasts, hips, thighs and buttocks. This is called “gynoid fat distribution”, and occurs as a result of their naturally high estrogen levels.
Women with unnaturally high levels of the male hormone testosterone (as occurs in polycystic ovarian syndrome, PCOS) are known to develop a masculine pattern of fat distribution – more belly fat, less bum fat.
Men who undergo androgen deprivation therapy for prostate cancer have reduced levels of testosterone, which is known to result in man boobs and a gynoid body fat distribution.
So it’s no secret that hormones play a crucial role in the way fat is distributed around your body.
Going on a low calorie diet and doing cardio, may help you lose weight by forcing your body to give up those fat stores, but they also cause testosterone levels to PLUMMET. Cardio also causes the stress hormone cortisol to chronically increase. Cortisol is an anti-testosterone, and pro-estrogen hormone.
In a 1984 study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association, the hormone levels of 31 male runners (who were running at least 64km per week) were compared with the hormone levels of 18 sedentary controls. Total testosterone levels were found to be lower in the runners than in the sedentary control group who did NO exercise!
Low testosterone and chronically elevated cortisol levels not only causes your body to hold onto your man boobs, it also deals a devastating blow to your health, leaving you prone to heart disease, cancer, diabetes, low energy, decreased libido, etc.
